Visit the Colosseum on your own, following the explanation of your pre-booked audio guide. Choose the date and the time of your visit and skip the line at the entrance!
After the tour you can visit the Palatino and the Roman Forum with the same entrance ticket.

The Audio guided tour lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes and is available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Latin, Portuguese, LIS and ASL (Italian Sign Language and American Sign Language)

In order to pick up the audioguides, visitors must present, in addition to the voucher, an original Identification Document that will be held until the return of the devices which must be given back at the exit of the Museum.

Free price tickets are available for children under 18 years of age. If you are booking this type of discounted tickets you have to confirm (selecting YES) you belong to the favoured category.

PLEASE NOTE: The confirmed time is not always the same time you requested; the museum automatically confirms the closest available time on the same date if requested time is sold out.

As soon as we receive your booking request, your tickets will be booked. Ticket confirmation is subject to museum availability. If availability is confirmed by the museum, the original voucher will be emailed to the email address you provided, so be sure you insert your email address correctly. The procedure may take a few hours. In case the order is submitted on Saturday, after 12,00 pm or on Sunday, vouchers will be sent on Monday morning. In case the order is submitted after 6.00 pm (Italy time), the voucher will be sent the morning after, except for Saturday afternoon and for Sunday. In this last cases the voucher will be sent on Monday morning anyway.
The original voucher is the only recognized document accepted at the museum entry and must be exchanged with tickets at the Palatino Ticket Office.

There is a service charge for every further modification of your reservation.

In case you have booked discounted tickets, you will be asked to show an identification document at the museum entrance or other documents proving that you are eligible to benefit from reductions.

Opening Hours

The Colosseum is open from 08.30 am to one hour before sunset depending on the season:

8:30 am - 3:30 pm from the last sunday of October to February 15
8:30 am - 4:00 pm from February 16 to March 15
8:30 am - 4:30 pm from March 16 to last Saturday of March
8:30 am - 6:15 pm from last Sunday of March to August 31
8:30 am - 6:00 pm from September 1 to September 30
8:30 am - 5:30 pm from October 1 to last saturday of October

The Ticket office closes one hour before closing time.

Closed on New Year's Day and on Christmas Day

Closed on January 1st and on December 25th
