For security reasons, the Soprintendenza of Rome established that the Colosseum may accommodate up to 3.000 people at once. To respect this rule, the access to the site can be subjected to delays. The Colosseum is a sensitive target, subject to security checks at the entrance, waiting in line might be necessary for security reasons at the metal detector.
During 2019 the reduced ticket (reserved to European Community citizenships between 18 and 25 years old) will suffer a reduction on its price.
Ticket with reserved time
Confirmation voucher: this reservation is subject to confirmation. The procedure may take a few hours. In case the order is submitted on Saturday, after 12:00 pm or on Sunday, vouchers will be sent on Monday morning. In case the order is submitted after 6.00 pm (Italy time), the voucher will be sent the morning after, except for Saturday afternoon. In this last case the voucher will be sent on Monday morning anyway.
How to get your tickets: the voucher must be exchanged at the Colosseum ticket office.
The price includes: entrance tickets with reserved entrance time, voucher exchange and online service fee (4.00 euro)
ATTENTION: the reservation will be confirmed for a unique schedule included in the requested time frame and the reservation will be valid exclusively during that time, therefore, we advise you to ensure your availability throughout the selected period of time with the aim of respecting the schedule assigned in the voucher. The set time is binding, the museum does not allow modifications or cancellations of the reservation once it has been confirmed. In case of delay or no-show, no refund will be possible.

Confirmation voucher: immediate confirmation.
How to get your tickets: the voucher must be exchanged at the Roman Forum. You can use it on the selected date at the time you prefer according to the availability of the Colosseum (max 3.000 visitors at once inside the site). You can verify the available time when you exchange your voucher at the Roman Forum ticket office.
Audioguide: in order to pick up the audioguide, visitors must present, in addition to the voucher, an original Identification Document that will be held until the return of the devices which must be given back at the exit of the Museum. The Audio guided tour lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes and is available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Latin, Portuguese, LIS and ASL (Italian Sign Language and American Sign Language)
The price includes: entrance tickets, voucher exchange and online service fees (4.00 euro) and Colosseum audio guide 5.50 euro.
