The Vatican Gardens covers about 50 acres (23 hectares) of the Vatican City. These lush gardens are closed the general public and can only be visited by reserving a tour.
A visit to the Vatican Gardens is highly recommend for those who want to see the lovely corners of the Vatican away from the usual crowds or for anyone who is particularly interested in horticulture as the gardens contain vegetation from many countries worldwide including Brasil, China, Japan and Australia.

Space is limited so we recommend that you reserve as early as possible. A minimum of 1 week in advance is required for group tour bookings. For private tours, we recommend that you request a booking as far in advance as possible as this service is exclusive and highly requested. Proper attire is required, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. It is not recommended that guests in wheelchairs take this tour as part of it is over gravel roads and some difficult terrain.
